damn shit! my nssl team kena knock out of the quarterfinals during the qualifying rounds for the zone final for nssl 2008. there were two major factors that knock us out of the tournament which i will later indicate.
we started off the 1st round with a walkover win as our opponent nv turn up. then we played our 2nd round match against this indian team and thrashed them 8-1. this match i scored a hat-trick. it was good to have a big scoreline but it also can be bad as other teams took notice of us. our 3rd round match, we meet this group of malay team. they are like around 25-30yrs old type of guys. it was consider their first game as they got two walkovers in the 1st two rounds. we already know our quarterfinal opponent after i watch them play and i find that we can beat them easily and qualify for semis. but first,we must tackle this team first. it was tight intially. their plan was to frustrate me and my another teammate, ah di, by giving us some rough treatment. it was quite bastard but we kept our composure and managed to scored first. once we scored, the game become more open and we continue our gung-ho play. soon.. our opponent got more frustrate as they were 3-0 down. that was when trouble begin to start. our team got 1 friend who drove some of the players down was supporting us. but he cannot tahan the treatment we kena by the opponent and decided to take action into his own hand, he came over to the other side and gave one of the player who got sent off a punch on the rib area. after that i almost spark a free-for-all. it was very messy and the situation was going out of control. i get my friend to stand one side without saying or looking at them. i also calm our opponent down. the ref decided to call off the game and gave us a 3-0 victory. we were through to the quarters. when we were outside the court, the commotion still continues and i managed to get both the troubled guys to talk to each other. i duno why my friend got to do that. we were leading 3-0 and that we totally unnecessary. although i know he cannot stand the way they tackle us and treat us but still kept our composure to play the match. our team become very high profile afteralls which i didn't wan it to be. i have told my team tat we must stay as low profile as possible becoz i dun wan pple start noticing us. anyway,we managed to get our previous match over and was tinkin about the quarter final game. from there onwards, i knew tis is our tournament becoz i dun see any team that is so impressive until i scare of them. i tink we were one of the top teams just now. we noe that semis is within our hands. but once the quarterfinal match got underway, my teammate, jinxing, did a big mistake. when ah di won the one bounce ball, he pass it to jinxing. jinxing suppose to pass it to me and i will take a shot. but he choose to turn around and pass back to our gk. his run was very casual and i saw 1 of the opponent chasing him down. that was when i noe something bad goin to happen as jinxing's backpass came short and our opponent manged to nip it before the penalty box. 1-0 we losing. i was shock and i guess the rest of my teammates was shock too! it was so shit to concede this goal but anyway, i was very confident that we can fight back becoz our team is strong. the least i expect was what i was goin to see later during the whole match. after they scored, our opponent become tortise. they just played the ball in and out to the gk. we cannot go inside the penalty box and they just play bastard at us. it was so loser lor. they played the game match like this. during one point, their gk even kept the ball inside the box for more than 6 secs which was suppose to be a foul on him and we should be awarded a penalty but the woman ref nv give. then came the most crucial decision that the ref made. ah di scored a toe poke goal before the penalty box but to everybody surprise, the woman ref blew for a foul as she said ah di had step inside. it was totally bullshit lor. there were decision goin against us. the ref was also damn stupid. our opponent was clearly wasting team and playing bastard football but the ref nv extend the time abit. usually if u play bastard football, the ref will try to add time on it. but this ref nv add. then we concede the 2nd goal which was my mistake and i ran too fast and the ball got stuck under my feet. i thot behind got my teammate to cover but there was no one. 2-0.. our opponent still continue to play that way with gk kept passing in and out wasting time. this was obviouslly their game plan. we never ever expect that our opponent will play until like that. thats why i was so piss off that we lost lor. we could hav been the qualifying champion if not for the ref and the 'play bastard' team. they are damn pussy! damn fu** up lor. tats why i cannot accept. if we lost to a beta team, then we will have nothing to complain but the way we lost really cannot take it sia. i tink the ref wan to get us out of the tournament becoz of the incident the previous round. the refs was really very buyer against us. i tink its becoz we are chinese thats why they bastard us. we also kena the same treatment during last year tournament but we still manged to get into the zone final. guess wat, i stayed back and watch the opponent that win us and see whether they can qualify for the final. i was prayin that they get knock out becoz they are a totally rubbish and pathetic team. they lost 5-1 in their semis. dman sux man the feeling.
i think that is the end of MIGHTY DUCKS.. i tink it beta for us to change name. we are consider quite a profile team already becoz of the name. but duno lar.. see how it goes lor. our first two edition we use THE MIGHTY DUCKS and follow by MIGHT DUCKS RETURNS. our team name this year is MIGHT DUCK LEGENDS. looks like the legend has been shot down. nvm.. we try harder again next year.
