went to watch spore slingers (spore first ever professional basketball team) at the spore indoor stadium on wed nite as i got this ticket by getting through a radio station which qualify me for another competition but they give me a goodie bag which also had this ticket included. i went to watched wif my gf lor. it was the first time i go watch a spore basketball match. i was wondering how will it be like watching man. me and my gf was very excited abt it. i only watched professional basketball game on tv (NBA) and of coz my expectation was quite high lar. i thot the spore slingers would win this game becoz its in their home ground.
when the game got started, the crowd was still settling in. the slingers were already behind the melbourne tigers. i heard from the commentator saying that they are the finalist of last year's championship. hmmm... i was like "oh man... then it would be a great showcase to see whether this spore team can fight against them". oh... did i said spore team... well,the team name has spore in it but the starting five players are all non-sporean. in fact,the sporean players were sitting on the bench throughout the whole game. didn't even get the chance to show their skills lor. that means throughout the game the players that are representing the spore slingers are all foreigners. haha.. abit weird by calling urself spore slingers and does not have any sporean players playing. back to the game... during the whole match, the slingers are always behind the tigers. they only managed to lead once in the 1st half but after that they cant fight back anymore. at one stage, the score difference was 20pts man. kaoz.. it was so disappointed wif the results lor. (oh ya.. in the end they lost by 9pts) i thot the spore slingers can get the win for me and my gf after all it was the first time we watched live basketball match wat. haha... so,hard luck to the slingers lor. they are just inferior compare to their opponents. at least it was an eye opener for me and my gf watchin the match. i enjoyed myself throughout the match although the slingers are always behind the tigers but just like all the crowds, we didn't care abt the score. when the slingers scored! everybody in the stad just cheer loudly as if it was the leadin point. hehe... a great evening for me and my gf ya. ;) hopefully next time can come back watch again but of coz i would not buy the tickets lar. i will try to get it through radio stations. hehehe... ;p
